Ok, I'm in the same boat as a lot of people. I want to have a decent gaming laptop that is capable of playing atleast a few current games such as Skyrim and the upcoming elder scrolls online on the best settings or atleast good enough that it wont have framerate issues or bad graphics (can't wait) but I am on a budget. I have 500 atm the moment saved up for one but 1500 is my max to spend on one (atleast for now). I am just worried that I might make a stupid mistake and buy a crappy one. I just want to know, based on all of your experiences, what would be the ideal choice of a laptop that would meet my standards or atleast be close to them. thanks for the help!

Hey Jnado,

First id like to say.. have fun.. i hate doing this (looking for new laptops)
second id like to say, even with info please check on our own to.. do your own research etc.

third.. if you could id go http://www.jbhifi.co...book-sku-90775/ but its a little expensive.

lastly, ill list some laptops below that are under your price tag but should be quite good gaming laptops.

This one has the following:

15.6" 1366 x 768 screen, 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.4GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, NVIDIA GT650M with 4GB Graphics Memory

http://www.jbhifi.co...book-sku-90643/

This one is similar

15.6" Notebook with 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.40GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Switchable nVIDIA GeForce GT 650M (Optimus) + Intel HD Graphics 4000

http://www.jbhifi.co...book-sku-90674/

Now these prices are in Australian $ so def check em out where you are, i hope this gets you started though.

for the best bang for your buck ditch a laptop and build your own desktop you can make something that will easilly run skyrim at max for ~ 900$
